Lukasz Gorywoda

Lukasz Gorywoda is an associate in the Life Sciences Industry Group.

Mr. Gorywoda focuses his practice on EU regulatory compliance in the field of chemicals, food and environment. He advises clients on REACH, regulation of biocidal and plant protection products, classification, labelling and packaging (CLP Regulation), and product safety. He has experience in supporting clients in data sharing negotiations concerning access to data on chemical active substances and in proceedings before the European Chemicals Agency and the EU Courts.

Mr. Gorywoda clerked at the Permanent Court of Arbitration, where he assisted arbitral tribunals on major investor-State disputes under various investment treaties (NAFTA, ECT, BIT-s), including claims of expropriation, failure to accord fair and equitable treatment, and discrimination (energy, environment, mining).

Mr. Gorywoda has researched and lectured at the leading academic centers in Europe and in the U.S. on issues related to EU regulatory law, contract law and international arbitration.
